Meet Dr. Leo Jaeger

Dr. Jaeger was born in Dickinson, North Dakota, and raised on his family’s wheat farm alongside with brothers and sisters. As a teenager, he quit high school eager to begin what he imagined would be “real life.” He quickly discovered that achieving his goals would require an education. Determined to create new opportunities for himself, Dr. Jaeger returned to school, earned his high school diploma, completed college, and graduated from dental school. He then pursued specialty training in orthodontics at this University of Illinois.

In 1967, Dr. Jaeger established his orthodontic practice in San Lorenzo, where he spent the majority of his distinguished career caring for patients and mentoring future orthodontists. He had a lifelong passion for learning and generously shared his knowledge with anyone eager to grow professionally. Nearly 30 years later, Dr. Jaeger met Dr. Sandy Bigman, a young orthodontist who shared his commitment to integrity, precision, and exceptional patient care. Their professional relationship soon grew into a lifelong friendship built on mutual respect and a shared dedication to the specialty. In 1984, Dr. Jaeger opened a second office in San Ramon. Dr. Bigman assumed leadership of that practice in 1988 and has continued Dr. Jaeger’s legacy of excellence, serving the Tri-Valley community for more than four decades.
